SPSS Part 1: Introduction to SPSS

Paul Rice

In this session, we begin by briefly reviewing the basic elements of quantitative research and the issues that should be considered in data analysis. We will cover types of data, and how this data can be entered into SPSS. Finally we will end examining descriptive statistics. This is an application orientated session and the approach will be practical.

No prior knowledge is required. Follow on workshop on December 1st - Basic Inferential Statistics in SPSS.

This workshop is open to any student currently registered on a research degree programme at the University of Northampton. Further information is available from Simone Apel (simone.apel@northampton.ac.uk; 01604 893418).
